and it gets better

Kanjani8's All of me for you is very nice. it's non-tribal sounding for once. their songs always have this tribal thing which is quite nice but I like this song very much. too bad I can't get the mp3. rar.

I went to the wet market with mama today. melzies was evil. that lazy poke didn't wake up=(

it was quite fun. and the wet market doesn't stink. I actually quite like the smell. (yes I'm weird.) we bought pork, fish, vegetables and fruits from mama's usual stalls. I really really like groceries shopping. it's damn fun.

we went to the library this afternoon. and we can borrow up to 8 books till somewhere in July! I went to the cookery section and borrowed very very nice books. and they are rather(actually very) big books. there's this super huge book on Italian Cuisine. it has info on regional specialities. and it is very informative. there are a few more very good books too.

I was about to use the com but there was a short circuit. darn! so I went to cook dinner.

Cream of spinach soup was rather tricky to make. I kinda burned the same spot in the pot twice! I didn't want the soup to have this slight burnt taste so I washed it twice. it turned out pretty okay. but it needs better stock. the roast chicken was GREAT! it was really juicy and tender. A brine marinade really makes a huge difference. I love fesh herbs. I used fresh thyme which I got from the supermarket. it smells heavenly. the only herb I don't like is sage. it reminds me of lemon dishwashing liquid. I tired out roasting beetroot for the 1st time. it tastes quite queer. the pumpkin and peppers were really really good.

I'm rambling about food.

I'm just totally obsessed with food. been thinking of preparing meals since last week. planning menus and all.

during this holiday, I want to cook/bake the following: roast pork, minestrone, tortellini, lasagne, panna cotta, honey cake, salads...there's so many I just can't remember them all.
